Dr. Kristen Barton, MD, PhD, FRCSC, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of hip and knee conditions. With advanced fellowship training in both joint replacement (arthroplasty) and sports medicine, she provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages—from athletes recovering from injuries to individuals seeking relief from arthritis and joint pain.
Dr. Barton is committed to delivering personalized, evidence-based care that helps patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and return to the activities they love. She believes in taking the time to listen, educate, and partner with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to their goals.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Barton is an Adjunct Research Professor at Western University and is actively involved in research focused on improving orthopaedic care. She earned undergraduate and master’s degrees in Kinesiology, a doctoral degree in Medical Sciences, and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. She has also completed advanced postgraduate training in surgical leadership at Harvard University.
